A Defining Career Moment
Dom’s journey to HR started during a challenging moment as a General Manager at CycleBar, an indoor cycling company. When the company was acquired and transitioned away from corporate HQ, Dom faced a choice: try to hold on to employees or support them as they moved on.
“I chose to help them exit gracefully, making sure they felt valued and had closure. That experience showed me the impact thoughtful HR practices can have on people during times of uncertainty, and it inspired me to dedicate my career to supporting and developing employees.”
A Day in the Life at Iacofano’s
Dom describes life at Iacofano’s as both chaotic and thrilling—exactly what makes it rewarding.
From troubleshooting payroll questions first thing in the morning to coaching managers through employee challenges and rolling out new initiatives, every day is different. Dom says it takes resilience, adaptability, and what they call the “pride of a lion and heart of gold” approach—leading with confidence while supporting with empathy.
Proud Accomplishment: Implementing Criteria
One of Dom’s proudest accomplishments has been rolling out Criteria, Iacofano’s pre-employment assessment platform.
“We wanted a way to look beyond résumés and interviews to really understand a candidate’s skills and strengths. Criteria has improved hiring accuracy, placed people in roles where they thrive, and built trust in the hiring process.”
What Makes Iacofano’s Special
Dom’s favorite part about the team is the collaboration and camaraderie.
“Time really does fly when you’re having fun. Everyone brings unique strengths, and there’s a shared willingness to support each other even during the busiest moments. That environment motivates me to keep building what I like to call Iacofano’s 2.0—where new ideas, goals, and growth can thrive.”
A Fun Fact About Dom
Before joining Iacofano’s, Dom was a part-time spin instructor. Leading classes in a dark, music-filled room taught Dom how to inspire and connect with people—skills now applied to employee engagement and coaching.

Dom’s favorite piece of advice:

This mantra continues to guide Dom’s problem-solving approach, whether it’s supporting an employee through a tough situation or developing new programs to strengthen the company culture.
